NHS Supply Chain Working to Ensure Resilience of Supply Chain

NHS Supply Chain is working to ensure the resilience of its supply chain in the face of the challenges posed by the pandemic, EU Exit and the conflict in Ukraine. To do this, it is taking a number of steps to ensure that NHS trusts and healthcare organisations have access to the products and services they need. These include:

• Working with suppliers to ensure that raw materials are available and that the cost of these materials is kept to a minimum.

• Working with international companies to ensure that UK affiliates have access to products in a global marketplace.

• Working with transportation companies to ensure that goods are delivered on time and that the cost of transportation is kept to a minimum.

• Working with manufacturers to ensure that products are manufactured in a timely manner and that the cost of manufacturing is kept to a minimum.

• Working with warehouses and distribution companies to ensure that goods are delivered on time and that the cost of warehousing and distribution is kept to a minimum.

By working together with the NHS, NHS Supply Chain is helping to ensure that the NHS has access to the products and services it needs in a timely and cost-effective manner. This will help to ensure that the NHS is able to provide the best possible care to its patients in these challenging times.
